The Marathon of Havana-Marabana Cuba 2019, that will take place on November 10th, has received the certificate of member of the AIMS (Association of International Marathons and Distance Races). It is a fact to remember that the Cuban marathon, that reaches its 33rd edition in a perfect shape, has already been approved in the world marathon calendar at the AIMS congress held last year in Tallinn (Estonia).
The double success of the next edition of the Marathon of Havana-Marabana is that, in addition to being on this prestigious calendar, it does so on a per-fect date for Cuba: exactly during the anniversary celebration of the founding of the Villa de San Cristóbal of Havana in its proclamation as a World Heritage Site and also in the Physical Culture and Sports Day. With the extra motivation that this year is celebrated the fifth centenary of the Foundation of the Villa de San Cristóbal de La Habana.
