Since 1978, Havana, the capital of the largest of the Antilles, has welcomed prestigious foodies from all over the world to the Great Cuban Sports Festival: the Marabana. In 37 editions, this event has become the iconic race of the Cuban capital, a city considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO for its great cultural wealth and its emblematic monuments such as the Capitol and the Museum of the Revolution, as well as the illustrious Malec\u00f3n. Thousands of runners, especially international runners, have been able to enjoy getting to know this peculiar and beautiful capital while enjoying the sport they like most, running through its streets.<\/p>\n

Its history, linked both to the European continent, especially with Spain, and to the American continent because of their shared history. For this reason, on 19 November, the Marabana will be dedicated to one of its neighbouring countries, Mexico, in the year that also marks the 65th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution, an event that has changed the future of the island to this day.<\/p>\n

In these more than three decades, thousands of local runners have shared with international runners the festive day of the Day of Physical Culture and Sport in Cuba by participating in the Marabana, which in its latest editions wants to be as inclusive as possible and offers up to 4 distances: 42km, 21km, 10km and 5km.
