In the recent congress of the World Association of Marathons (AIMS) celebrated in Tallinn (Estonia), the Cuban race was ratified in the world calendar for the next year. The date of the competition will be the 10th of November 2019 at 7am. The double success of Marabana is that, beside to be placed in this prestigious calendar, it is done in a suitable date for Cuba, in full celebration of the anniversary of the foundation of the Villa of San Cristóbal of La Habana in its proclamation as Heritage of the Humanity and the celebration of the day of the Physical Culture and Sport. This ratification of the AIMS confirms the good health of the race and demonstrates the seriousness in the fulfilment of the international engagements. With the incentive that the edition 2019 will coincide with the celebration of the fifth centenary of the Foundation of the Villa of San Cristóbal of La Habana.
